Kremlin Confirms Netanyahu-Putin Meeting in Russia

 

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed Wednesday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit Russia on September 21 and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.”A short working visit and talks will Vladimir Putin will take place on Monday,” Peskov told RIA Novosti.Earlier in the day, the Israeli government said on its website that Benjamin Netanyahu will visit Russia next week to discuss the presence of Russian military experts operating in Syria.“The prime minister will express his views on the threat to Israel as a result of the deliveries of modern weaponry to Syria due to the possibility they could end up in the hands of Hezbollah or other terrorist organizations,” the statement on the website reads.
